Nick began his professional career as a young cook in high school when the food bug bit him. After an a culinary apprenticeship, and formal training at Scottsdale Culinary, he set out to conquer the food world with stops that included the US Virgin Islands and Napa Valley. While in some of the best kitchens in Napa, Nick discovered his fondness for local wines and great beer, which lead him away from the stove fires and into the wonderful world of fermentation. Home brewer by night, wine sales guy by day, Nick choose to follow his budding passion for craft beer and attended the American Brewers Guild where he fine tuned his love of the frosty fermented beverage. Nearly 8 years at the helm of a small brewpub in NorCal brought Nick many awards including back to back “Best BrewPub in NorCal”, as well as several regional awards and medals at the California State Fair. From malt, hops and yeast to carefully selected teas, the best in organic sugars and a fun lovin' Scoby, Nick is super excited to bring his passion for food, wine, beer and Bourbon to the wonderful world of Kombucha. Look for some fun side projects as he helps to take Clearly Kombucha from a small company to a household name and set the prescient for this incredible beverage.
